Description of the works
This is the fourth fire alarm visit for the testing year (October 2024 – September 2025) set out by the University's schedule, and requires a visit of silent testing.
A period of silent testing is where a selection of input devices around the building(s) will be activated silently. This will not activate any outputs on the system. BTS will monitor the system for any real fires and raise the alarm if necessary.
This building has been tested on nights for the last three of four visits to enable us to be at our least disruptive. However, we are required to carry this visit out during the day to access those areas unavailable at night.
All areas of the building may need to be accessed in some way.
We are unable to provide detailed timings of attendance due to various other ongoing works. The times listed below are the best approximation of the times we intend to be in each area.
Access will assume to be granted unless contact is made prior to three working days before work commences to arrange alternate access conditions [note – all work must be complete before 30th September 2025 to comply with the regulations.
