Air testing in preparation for flooring work.

Within room 0.06 the flooring has sunken where a floor duct passes underneath and will require replacement. The duct contains some type of insulation which requires testing for asbestos. The engineer will require the room to be unoccupied during the testing day. Air tests will be carried out before the room can be declared safe for staff to return. The work will only occur in room 0.06 and other rooms will still be usable. We have chosen Friday 22^nd May as many staff work from home and the following Monday is a bank holiday.

A leak has been identified on one of the hot water cylinders and requires urgent attention.

The affected cylinder will be isolated and drained to allow the repair works to be carried out. This will not impact services, as the system consists of three cylinders. Once the repair is complete, the pipework will be reinstated and the system refilled. 

All works are expected to be completed within the same day, and no disruption to other services is anticipated.
